This resource, designed originally for a course at Heriot-Watt University, is intended to help researchers ensure that their work is sufficiently critical.
It consists of 36 slides, sorted into 6 themes. Each slide provides a prompt question or set of prompt questions. These prompts may be used to:
- examine other researchers’ work critically (for example, when writing a literature review or when providing peer review)
- examine one’s own work critically (for example, before submitting work for publication or examination)
